How do I request a FIRC?
The FIRC request must be made to HSBC India via a physical letter endorsed by the bank through which you receive your Amazon disbursement.
Please include the following in the letter.
- Disbursement date
- Transaction reference no.
- Reference to disbursement coming from Amazon
- DD Amount: INR 450
- Drawn in favour of HSBC account FIRC Charges
- Payable at Mumbai
Send the letter and Demand Draft to the HSBC India Remittance Operations Office:

Is a separate FIRC required for each disbursement received from Amazon?
Yes, each disbursement from your Amazon seller account made to your bank will require a separate FIRC. You can request multiple FIRCs in one letter.
Is there a fee for the FIRC?
HSBC India charges a fee of INR 450 (including service tax) for each FIRC. You must request one FIRC per disbursement transaction.
The fee must be paid as a demand draft to HSBC India with the FIRC request letter.
Who pays the FIRC fee?
You pay the fees to HSBC.
How long will it take to receive the FIRC?
The FIRC may take 10 to 15 business days after the request date to reach you, depending upon the age of the transaction and courier transit time.
HSBC will issue the FIRC in three to seven days of receiving your request, along with the demand draft for the fee. HSBC will dispatch the FIRC via courier.

It’s no longer issued. After the April circular or FEDAI FIRC will no longer be issued for foreign remittance. It will be issued for FDI/FII investment only.
